ParentGroup Connect Terms of Use
Effective date: Sep 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ParentGroup Connect (the "Service"), offered by The Parent Group Blueprint ("we," "us," or "our"). By submitting a registration, creating a board-admin account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a PTA, booster club, or other school organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to both you and that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ParentGroup Connect is a centralized toolkit for school parent organizations to manage membership registration, volunteer sign-ups, and engagement tracking. It includes a public Register tab, a gated Board Dashboard for roster and dues management, a Volunteer Management sub-tab, and Group Configuration settings, and is built mobile-first for use on iOS. Features such as dues, tiers, attendance tracking, and school-site selectors may vary depending on how your organization's group type is configured.
We may add, modify, or remove features of the Service at any time.
3. Accounts and Registration
The public Register tab lets any parent or guardian submit a family registration, including their own contact information and their student's name and grade. By submitting a registration, you represent that you are the parent or guardian of the student(s) listed and that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
Board-admin access to the Board Dashboard requires a gated login (BoardGate). Board admins are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity that occurs under their account, and must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 years old to register a family or hold a board-admin account.
4. Dues, Subscription, and Payment
ParentGroup Connect supports two kinds of Stripe-powered payments: (a) membership dues checkout for families, collected by your organization through the Service, and (b) an optional subscription plan for premium app features, billed to your organization.
By submitting a dues payment or subscribing to premium features, you (or, for dues, the paying family) authorize us, via Stripe, to charge the payment method provided. Subscription plans renew automatically at the then-current price unless canceled before the renewal date; you can cancel a premium subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable.
5. User Content
"User Content" means the registration information, student names and grades, volunteer interests, dues and attendance records, notes, logos, and other information you or your organization's admins input into the Service. As between you and us, you (or, for a family's registration, the submitting parent or guardian) retain ownership of your User Content.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display User Content solely as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit it, including a student's name and grade on their behalf.
6. Board Admin Access and Responsibilities
The Board Dashboard is protected by BoardGate, an admin-gated login, and row-level security that restricts roster, dues, attendance, and volunteer data to authenticated board admins of your organization, while the registration form itself remains publicly submittable. Your organization is responsible for deciding who is granted board-admin access and for removing access when a board member's role ends.
Board admins are responsible for how they use the member data available to them through the dashboard — including student names and grades — and for complying with any policies their school, district, or organization's bylaws require regarding the handling of family and student information.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, templates, dashboard design, tools, text, graphics, and the ParentGroup Connect name and branding, is owned by The Parent Group Blueprint and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your organization's internal, non-commercial membership and volunteer management purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service, or use our tools to build a competing product.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
Submit fraudulent, misleading, or falsified registration, dues, or attendance information
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Board Dashboard, another organization's data, or any part of the Service's systems
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including the mobile app
Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Use the Service, or the family and student data it contains, to harass, defame, or harm any person or organization
Resell, rent, or provide third-party access to the Service without our written consent
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
ParentGroup Connect is an organizational and recordkeeping tool. It is not a substitute for your organization's own compliance obligations under its bylaws, school or district policies, or applicable law regarding the collection, use, and handling of family and student information. Your organization is responsible for determining what data it collects through the Service and for using it in accordance with those obligations.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Parent Group Blueprint and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount your organization paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Term and Termination
These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using the Service, cancel a premium subscription, or close your account at any time by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or for any other reason with reasonable notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; we will handle any retained data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and its Data Retention section.
12. General Provisions
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert your state, e.g., New Jersey], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as email or an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
